WD01 / Conversion-first websites

Design, copy, and code in one build, for sites that convert humans and get read by machines.

Makerspace Innovhub covers design, copywriting, and development in a single build, producing sites that turn visitors into customers and give crawlers and language models something clean to work with.

A website is the foundation everything else sits on. Break it, and no amount of content strategy repairs the damage.

"We build for both audiences. The person deciding whether to call you, and the machine deciding whether to name you."
/ What a build includes

Everything, or only what you need.

01

Design

Layout, visual system, responsive behavior across breakpoints. Mobile first, because that’s how Google evaluates you and how most visitors arrive.

02

Copywriting

Words engineered around your offer. Written for the person scanning in eight seconds, structured so a language model can lift a clear answer out of it.

03

Development

Clean markup, semantic HTML, structured data. The unglamorous work that decides whether crawlers understand your pages or guess at them.

/ Platforms

WordPress, Shopify, and where the line is.

WordPress carries most of our work. It’s flexible, well supported, and gives clients real ownership of their content without a developer on retainer.

Shopify handles ecommerce and sits in a different price bracket; product catalogs, payment flows, and inventory logic add scope a brochure site doesn’t carry. Beyond those two, requirements tend to indicate a web application, which is a separate conversation.

/ What "built right" actually measures

ttxworks.com: Lighthouse mobile audit

A cybersecurity platform we recently completed. July 2026.

100AccessibilityScreen readers, keyboard nav, and contrast all pass.
100Best PracticesNo security warnings, deprecated APIs, or console errors.
100SEOCrawlable, indexable, properly structured.
0Cumulative Layout ShiftNothing jumps as the page loads.
10msTotal Blocking TimeThe page responds almost immediately to input.
2/2Agentic BrowsingAI agents can traverse and interpret the page. Most sites fail this silently.
/ How the build runs

Contract signed. Then five steps.

01

Preliminary design

Initial direction based on your offer, audience, and existing brand assets.

02

Client review

You respond. Three revision rounds are included, which sounds restrictive until you’ve watched a project die at round eleven. Constraint produces decisions.

03

Copy implementation

Words go into the approved design. Yours or ours.

04

Final review

Last look before anything goes live.

05

Implementation

We deploy to your server or your WordPress installation, infrastructure you control.

/ What we don’t do

Hosting. You own it, and you should.

Keeping that relationship in your name means no agency holds your website hostage, and you choose the provider that fits your budget rather than the one paying us a margin.

Migrations we handle, but only onto infrastructure you control. Ongoing maintenance is available as a monthly arrangement, separate from the build. Some clients want it. Plenty manage fine without.

One honest caveat

A website does not generate leads by existing. What a well-constructed site does is remove the technical reasons buyers and machines might overlook you, then hand a solid foundation to whatever comes next. Build it badly and everything above it wobbles. That’s the whole argument.

/ Frequently asked

About Web Design.

How long does a build take from contract to launch?

It depends on scope and, candidly, on you. Our sequence runs preliminary design, client review, copy implementation, final review, deployment, with three revision rounds included. Projects stall most often at the review stage. Clients who block out time for reviews finish faster. A brochure site moves considerably quicker than a Shopify catalog with dozens of products.

Who owns the website after the project ends?

You do, completely. The design, the copy, the code: all of it transfers to you, deployed onto hosting you control under your account. No agency should be able to switch off your website because an invoice landed late. This occasionally costs us recurring revenue competitors capture through bundled hosting. We consider it a reasonable trade.

What is Core Web Vitals and why does it affect my site?

It’s Google’s published set of user-experience measurements: loading speed, interactivity, and visual stability during load. Google uses these signals when ranking. Beyond ranking, they describe real frustration: a button that shifts as you reach for it. Sites failing these thresholds lose visitors before content loads.

Can you work with copy I’ve already written?

Yes, and it often improves the result; nobody understands your offer the way you do. Send finished copy and we implement it. Send fragments and we’ll shape them. Send nothing and we write from scratch. What we won’t do is quietly rewrite your voice into agency-speak, though we’ll flag where structure needs adjusting so machines can extract answers cleanly.

Why does agentic browsing matter for a business website?

Automated systems increasingly visit websites on behalf of humans: crawlers gathering material for AI answers, agents comparing options before a purchase. If those systems can’t traverse your pages or locate your information, your business never enters their output. Most sites fail this quietly. Testing for it during a build costs little; discovering the failure two years later costs considerably more.
